You can perform higher quality inspections in less time, with minimal pilot training. The precise, visually geotagged imagery generated by Skydio 3D Scan is easily exported to any mainstream photogrammetry software, generating high-quality, higher-resolution models without the mountains of extra data required by traditional capture methods.

Adaptive Mapping - Groundbreaking airborne data capture engine embedded in Skydio Autonomy to iteratively build a global map of complex surfaces using contour-hugging motion planning software. Reduces the need for pilots to plan photogrammetry capture flights by hand or settle for rudimentary automation.
2D Capture - fly a planar lawnmower pattern with full obstacle avoidance while capturing cross-hatched photos to generate 2D orthomosaics. An operator can define the scan without reliance on GPS, LTE connection, or base maps.
Best for scanning road accidents, large indoor spaces, stockpiles, farmland, large commercial buildings.
Supports traditional capture patterns, with superior obstacle avoidance and the 3D Surface Engine for accurate localization even in GPS-denied environments, or without cellular connections or magnetometer readings. Recommended for area scans up to 400 ft in altitude.
3D Capture - navigate autonomously through an operator-defined scan volume, ensuring comprehensive imagery that captures every surface at a predefined resolution and overlap. Enabling complex scans, even in GPS-denied, indoor, and below overhang environments, without requiring any prior knowledge of the structure.
Best for scanning bridges, transmission towers, architecture, machinery, telecommunications towers, and vehicles.
Visual Geofencing - specify operating bounds by constraining Skydio 2 to the user-defined scan volume. Delivers higher precision than GPS-based methods by using boundaries that adapt to the scan volume, and helps reduce ground risk to crowded areas, bridges, highways, or beyond visual line of sight.
Edge Model Viewer - view a simplified 3D model of a scanned scene on a web app served directly from the Skydio 2 Enterprise App to a computer or mobile device in the field to validate full coverage and perform in-field inspections.
Data Export - export scan photos, with full metadata from the Skydio 2 enterprise-level memory card for use in 3rd party photogrammetry software, including DroneDeploy, Pix4D, Bentley ContextCapture, and Reality Capture.
Multi-Battery Scans - relocalize with computer vision to resume a scan even without GPS, saving flight time and preventing the collection of redundant data from multiple disconnected scans, allowing for fast 3D reconstruction.
Real-time AR Coverage - a real-time augmented reality (AR) view of the surfaces that have been scanned. Allows you to check for capture gaps and track the progress of the scan. Checking for completeness reduces the re-fly rate to ensure complete coverage.
AR Observer - view a static overview image of the entire scene showing an augmented reality (AR) drone in real-time as it navigates the area, offering increased position awareness in 3D space, instead of following your GPS location and heading on a map. Provides enhanced safety, progress tracking, and the ability to stay in compliance with FAA regulations.
