How do you use Skydio Live Stream?

Available for early access customers:

Live stream Skydio drone footage from a controlling device to viewers logged into Skydio Cloud on a web or mobile browser. You must have your Skydio Cloud account set up, add users and pilots, and claim your Skydio vehicles to use the Live Stream feature.

Supported drones:

    • Skydio 2/2+
    • Skydio X2

Supported Controlling Devices:

Skydio Enterprise Controller

    • version 19.0.42 or higher on a 2.4 GHz wireless network

Skydio Controller

    • Android: version 19.0.42 or higher on cellular data/LTE or 2.4 GHz wireless network
    • iOS: version 19.0.0(38) or higher on cellular data/LTE or 2.4 GHz wireless network

Mobile device

    • (Android or iOS) on cellular data/LTE

Quick Steps

Step 1 - Log in to cloud.skydio.com

  • enter your email address
  • enter the verification code sent to your email address

Step 2 - Set up your Skydio Cloud account, see Getting Started with Skydio Cloud for detailed instructions.

    • ensure that you have added Users and Pilots
    • ensure that you have claimed your Skydio vehicle that will live streaming

Start flying and initiate a Live Stream 

On your controlling device:

Step 3 - Ensure that your controlling device is connected to the Internet 

Step 4 - Launch the Skydio Enterprise app and connect to your drone

Step 5 - Select the video/camera icon

Step 6 - Select the Streaming tab

Step 7 - Select Start Streaming

    • start the live stream before or during a flight

View the Live Stream in Skydio Cloud

Step 8 - Log in to cloud.skydio.com on a web or mobile browser

    • Vehicles in your organization with active live streams will display a LIVE badge

Step 9 - Select a vehicle/stream to view
