How to setup ATAK with the Skydio Enterprise Controller

The integration of the Skydio Enterprise Controller and the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK) app allows you to seamlessly monitor your Skydio fleet. ATAK provides geospatial information about your drones and controllers for increased situational awareness in the field.
Follow the steps below to set up your Skydio and ATAK integration.
Getting Started
When switching between the color and thermal camera feed, viewers of the stream must restart streaming. | |
Superzoom is not supported when streaming to an ATAK server. | |
The operator maintains the ability to switch between a 30 FPS and 60 FPS stream, but the stream will pause for viewers. | |
You must have a TAK server or RTSP server running on your network to stream video. Without this, you will only receive COT data. |

How to add a TAK server
Step 1 - Navigate to Device Settings | ![]() |
Step 2 - Navigate to the ATAK menu tab and select Start ATAK App |

Step 3 - Select Network Connections | ![]() |
Step 4 - Select Add Server |

Step 5 - Enter the required fields

How to enable Live Streaming
Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) is a network protocol used to coordinate media streaming between two devices. Before flying, you must enable streaming to be able to view the live-stream of your drone.

To configure your RTSP settings:
Step 1 - Navigate to the ATAK menu tab and select Start ATAK App |

How to connect to a TAK server
- Navigate to Device Settings
- Select the ATAK tab
- Select Network Connections
- Select the name of the server you wish to connect with
How to remove a TAK server

Step 5 - Confirm you would like to permanently delete the selected server |

How to publish telemetry data
When Publish Telemetry is enabled, this means that telemetry data will be published to any configured and enabled TAK servers.

If your stream is not working, navigate back to the RTSP menu. Toggle Stream Enabled off then on again and retry streaming.

[accordion heading="What should I do if I can't see the telemetry information?"]
If your telemetry information is not publishing to your connected TAK server, first ensure you have Publish Telemetry enabled by navigating to Device Settings > ATAK > Publish Telemetry. Select the toggle next to Publish Telemetry to enable.
If it has been enabled and you still do not see your telemetry information, try toggling the Publish Telemetry off and then on again. Check your stream to see if the issue has been resolved.
