Set the Skydio X10D controller to Online mode to connect to a WiFi network. Toggle on to download maps, stream a live video feed, and access the controller updates. Toggle off to retain flight security. Before using the WiFi on your X10D controller, you must add users, assign licenses, and claim vehicles in Fleet Manager for Offline Drones. 

[note]Not supported on Skydio X10D Connect SL. To enable, contact your program manager or FedSupport@skydio.us[/note]

Configure your Skydio Fleet Manager for Offline Drones account:

Step 1 - Log in to cloud.skydio.com

  • Enter your email address and the verification code sent to your email address

Step 2 - Add users

Select the User tab and Invite a Member OR import a file (CSV or text file)

  • Enter email
  • Assign the role of Admin

[note]Members must be assigned an Admin-level role to access the update files. A member’s email address can only be associated with one organization at a time. Contact Fedsupport@Skydio.us for assistance if you cannot add a user.[/note]

Step 3 - Claim Devices

Your vehicles are not automatically associated with your organization, so you must claim the vehicles you want in your fleet in the Devices tab.

    • Select Claim Device
    • Enter the drone name (SkydioX10-xxxx)
    • Select Claim Device

Your vehicles will be listed in this menu.

Step 4 - Select the License tab and assign the Skydio X10D Core license to a vehicle.

    • In the action column, select the blue card, and a list of eligible vehicles will display
    • Select your vehicle and save

Step 4 - Assign The WiFi Enabled License

    • In the action column, select the blue card next to the Skydio X10D WiFi Enabled License, and a list of eligible vehicles will display.
    • After the Core license has been assigned to the vehicle, it is eligible for a Skydio X10D WiFi Enabled license.

Step 5 - Sync your licenses

  • Download the Configuration Only file if you have assigned new licenses
  • Copy the Configuration File to a USB-C memory drive and insert it into the back USB-C port on the vehicle. 
  • Visit How to update your Skydio X10D for detailed instructions.

The Licenses tab offers information about your Purchase History, including: 

    • All active and expired licenses
    • Type of license
    • How many licenses have been purchased
    • How many have been assigned
    • How many remain unassigned
    • Action tiles to assign licenses
    • Action tiles to view the vehicles that already have licenses assigned

Enable the WiFi network on your X10D Controller:

Step 1 - Power on and pair the vehicle and controller
Step 2 - Select Global Settings, the Information menu, and Device Settings

Step 3 - Select Network and toggle on

Step 4 - Select WiFi Settings 

  • Enter SSID and Internet password

Step 5 - Power cycle your controller

 

Step 6 (optional) - Sign in to the controller using the same email address that you use to access Skydio Fleet Manager for Offline Drones

  • Enter the activation code sent to your email address.

The network indicator icon displays the controller's WiFi network status:

  • Healthy internet connection = green checkmark
  • Degraded internet connection = yellow exclamation
  • No Internet Connection = red x

How to download maps:

Step 1 - Select Global Settings and the Information menu

Step 2 -Select Download Maps

Step 3 - Select the blue + icon under Add New Maps to display a satellite view of your current location.

Step 4 - Drag and pinch-to-zoom on the map until your desired location is centered on the screen

  • Use the search bar to enter coordinates or type a location

Step 5 - Select Download Map to save

Step 2 - Enter your Fleet Manager for Offline Drone account email and the code

Step 3 - Select the Information menu

  • Scroll down to Controller Update
  • A message will display if an update is available
  • Select Update and follow the prompts

Step 4 - Select the Information menu

  • Select your Skydio X10D Connect SL vehicle
  • A message will display if an update is available
  • Select Update and follow the prompts
