Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Users will now receive notifications on the X10 Controller if propellers are reaching the end of their cycle count or develop accelerated propeller hub wear.
    • Skydio X10 Rev 1 propellers can develop accelerated hub wear under high-utilization or aggressive flight patterns (reference our NTO here).
    • Manual inspection was previously the only way to detect prop hub wear. Now, machine learning models are used to predict hub wear based on flight history and indicate to users when wear is likely
    • If accelerated propeller wear is detected, you will see the following notification on the controller:
  • Fixes an issue where some users were not able to successfully view ReadyLink live streams. The “Live” indicator would be present on the controller, but viewers were unable to view the stream after scanning the QR Code or sharing the link from Skydio Cloud.
    • This issue occurred with Skydio X10 drones that have a cellular modem but a deactivated SIM card.
    • With this fix, users will be able to successfully live stream using ReadyLinks even if the drone’s SIM card is not activated.
  • Fixes an issue where users may have seen the erroneous message “Controller is not claimed in your organization” even if their controller was already claimed. With this release, users should no longer see this message unless they have not yet claimed their controller.
  • Fixes a calibration issue that was present in a small subset of controllers. Some users would previously see a “Sticks Not Centered” or “Wheels Not Centered” message on the controller and would be prevented from launching. With this fix, users should no longer see these messages and will no longer be blocked from flight.
  • Minor fixes and performance improvements for the X10 Controller.
