This update addresses critical bugs affecting flight reliability, hardware compatibility, and system stability for the Cayley release. Key improvements include fixes for in-flight failures, hardware integration, and enhanced error handling to ensure safer and more robust operations.
FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS
Improved recovery from onboard computer restart during Dock missions — If the main onboard computer restarts mid-flight, the drone can now recover and continue the mission instead of aborting, with more reliable localization, waypoint navigation, and path planning after the restart. Includes improved handling of positioning and waypoint navigation.
Improved Pathfinder reliability near tall structures and complex environments — Fixes rare edge cases that could cause route planning to fail or select unsafe altitudes near tall structures, improving mission reliability in urban and complex areas.
Improved sensor redundancy for flight stability — The system can now switch between onboard motion sensors (IMUs) during flight if an issue is detected, improving overall stability and resilience.
