Categorizing and labeling flights

Flight Purpose

You have the option to label each flight with a “flight purpose”, which will enable you to sort your flights and search more easily within Skydio Cloud and on your public dashboard.

[note] Only Org Admins can create new flight purposes. Cloud Users, Remote Pilots, and Org Admins can all apply flight purposes to flights. [/note]

Select Manage Flight Purposes to add or delete flight purposes.

[note] Flight Purposes are visible on the public-facing Transparency Dashboard when a flight is published. [/note]

Once you have created your flight purposes, you can assign the appropriate purpose to a flight.

Case ID and Description

You also have the option to add a Case ID and a description to each flight. These will both be displayed on the Transparency Dashboard when a flight is published.

Updating case information in bulk

Optionally select multiple flights and assign them all the same Case ID, Flight Purpose, and Description.

Marking flights as Private

By default, your flights will have a status of “In Review.” You have the option to mark a flight as “Private” and it will not be public and viewable on the dashboard.

Selecting flights to publish

By default, your flights will have a status of “In Review” and will not be public and viewable on the dashboard.

You can also optionally select multiple flights and publish them at the same time.

Once published, your flights will have a Public tag in green.

To un-publish a flight, select “…” and then select Mark Private or Send to Review.

Viewing your dashboard

Once flights have been published, you can search for flights within a certain date range.

You can also search by Case ID, description, or flight purpose.
