Generate a ReadyLink in Skydio Cloud to quickly and easily share access to the live stream of one or all drones in your organization.

[note] Cloud User, Remote Pilot, and Admin roles can all generate a ReadyLink. ReadyLinks are available for customers who can view live streams in Skydio Cloud. [/note]

How to generate and share a ReadyLink using Skydio X10

[note] Skydio Live Streaming is an optional software add-on available for purchase. You must have Live Streaming to use ReadyLink. When flying over 5G Cellular, Skydio X10 will live stream automatically. [/note]

Step 1 - Launch

Step 2 - Open the Sharing menu

  • Navigate to Global Settings > Sharing

Step 3 - Select ReadyLink

Step 4 - Select Start ReadyLink

  • Wait a moment as the QR Code is generated 
  • Select the QR Code to share your stream
  • While streaming, you will be able to see how many viewers are watching your flight

Use the ReadyLink Quick Action in the Flight Screen to access the QR Code at any time.

  • Select the settings icon in the top right to adjust your streaming preferences
  • Use Quality Preference to optimize the video quality for either the pilot (default) or viewers of the stream

How to generate and share a ReadyLink in Skydio Cloud

Step 1 - Log in to cloud.skydio.com

Step 2 - Navigate to Settings > Live Streaming and select Generate ReadyLink
[note] A ReadyLink is automatically generated when flying via Remote Flight Deck. You also have the option to create more ReadyLinks following this workflow. [/note]

Step 3 - Name your ReadyLink and configure access, then select Generate

  • Name can have anywhere between 1 and 256 characters and must be unique
  • Choose between sharing the live stream of a single drone or all drones in your organization
  • Set a start date and end date for when the link will be active and accessible

Step 4 - Share your ReadyLink

  • From the Live Streaming page
  • Find the ReadyLink you wish to share
  • You can search by link name or drone name
  • Select Copy ReadyLink to copy the URL, then paste and share this link through your preferred channels

  • Select the QR code icon to the left of your ReadyLink name, OR select … > Share to:
    • view and download a QR code for the ReadyLink
    • view and copy the ReadyLink URL

From Remote Flight Deck

  • Select the QR code icon in the top bar
  • Scan the QR code or select Copy ReadyLink to copy the link to the stream
  • You can also view and copy any other ReadyLinks that include the drone you are currently flying

How to view a ReadyLink stream

Scan the QR code or open the provided ReadyLink URL. You can view a ReadyLink in a web or mobile browser.

This will bring you to a page with a list of all active live streams. Select the live stream you wish to view from the list.

You can also view and select your desired live stream from the Map view. Select the drone whose live stream you wish to view, then select View Live Stream.

Viewing thermal streams

Skydio X10 and X2E Color/Thermal can share thermal and color live streams. Web browser viewers can utilize the Picture in Picture (PIP) view to switch between the two streams. The type of thermal view available depends on the pilot’s settings:

  • White Hot
  • Black Hot
  • Rainbow
  • Ironbow

How to edit or revoke access to a ReadyLink

Navigate to Settings > Live Streaming, then select on the ReadyLink entry you wish to edit or revoke.

Select Edit to rename your ReadyLink, change the access to one or all drones, or adjust the start and end times.

Select Revoke to delete the ReadyLink and revoke access for anyone that has been given the link.

[note] Revocation is effective immediately, regardless of flight status. [/note]
