How to Create and Use Post-Flight Reports in Skydio Cloud
Published: Updated:
Skydio Cloud offers customizable Post-Flight Reports to help you capture the real-world impact of your agency’s drone operations, meet FAA compliance, and streamline internal record-keeping. Post-Flight Reports provide a clear process for tracking important data that can help demonstrate program success, improve operations, and drive informed decision-making.
Post-Flight Reports are automatically linked to your organization’s flights in Skydio Cloud and will be presented to pilots directly in Remote Flight Deck after landing (default).
Use the Post-Flight Report to:
- Showcase the value of your drone program to leadership, city councils, and communities
- Track key metrics for your use case
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve your drone operations
- Meet FAA compliance
- Track flight issues
What's included?
The following fields are automatically completed by Skydio:
- Pilot
- Flight start/end time
- Flight duration
- Drone ID
- Launch address
- Launch coordinates
For DFR customers, Organization Admins have the option to include DFR outcomes questions in their Post-Flight Report, which include:
- CAD/CFS ID
- Type of Incident
- Did the drone arrive first on scene?
- Did the drone clear the call without patrol resources?
- How did the drone assist with the call?
- Other notes
All customers have the ability to customize report questions for their use cases. For example:
- Airspace authorization
- Issues with flight
- Pilot and VO information
- Mission details
- Aircraft damage or loss of communication
Using Post-Flight Reports
Flights conducted with the X10 Controller or Remote Flight Deck flights without a Dock (that have Media Sync) will appear within Flights > Reports in Skydio Cloud. A Post-Flight Report will be attached, but the form does not automatically appear for X10 Controller pilots after landing.
- Organization Admins should add controller pilots as a Cloud User role if the pilot is expected to fill out the report within Skydio Cloud

Completing a Report
After landing, a pop-up will prompt you to complete the Post-Flight Report. You have the option to either complete and submit the report immediately or save to complete at a later time in Skydio Cloud.
- If your Organization Admin has disabled automatic pop-ups, you can complete your form in Reports > Flights
- If your Organization Admin has marked questions as required, you must complete all required questions before submitting (you can still save for later if required fields are incomplete)
- If the flight is part of an ongoing operation that requires a multi-flight response, select Ongoing Response? to skip the form and continue operations
