3D First Person Map View
Switch to a 3D First Person Map View by selecting the Eye icon in either Map View or Split Screen View to easily correlate camera images with map data. The Satellite and Street map views follow the camera and match the zoom level.
Known limitations
- Some misalignments are to be expected due to map or vehicle pose estimation errors.
- Map misalignment is expected at the beginning of a flight but should fix itself once the GPS receiver locks on after some motion.
- The camera and 3D Map views may mismatch when tilting the camera upwards. Due to map rendering limitations, the upward pitch on the 3D map view is capped at viewing the horizon.
Drone Tracking in Map View
The Map view defaults to being centered around the current vehicle position in both 3D and 2D modes.
- Zoom in and out in Drone Tracking View and fly without losing track of the vehicle on the map
- Pan on the map to look around and stop following the vehicle
- Easily switch in and out of drone tracking mode using the Crosshair icon.
