[note] Prior to initiating this workflow, ensure that the SSID or network name appears in the list of Available Networks under the Controller’s WiFi Settings. [/note]
To verify the SSID or network name in Available Networks:
- Power on the Skydio 10 Controller
- Using the menu in the upper left-hand corner of the Home screen, navigate to Information → Device Settings → Networks → WiFi Settings
- Check Available Networks and verify that the SSID or network name appears in the list of networks. If it does, continue with the workflow below.
- If it does not, select Add Network, enter the SSID or network name and password, then select Save.
[note] Enabling the Hidden Network toggle will only hide the SSID in the list of Available Networks on the Controller; information about the devices connecting to the network will still be exposed as devices attempt to connect to the network. Non-hidden networks are considered more secure with the use of a strong password and network encryption. [/note]
- Your SSID or network name should now appear in the Controller’s list of Available Networks.

To enable a Static MAC Address on the Skydio X10 Controller:
- Power on the Skydio X10 Controller
- Using the menu in the upper left-hand corner of the Home screen, navigate to Information → Device Settings → Networks → WiFi Settings
- From WiFi Settings, select the menu in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to open the menu. Select Advanced Settings.
- In Advanced Settings, select Manage Networks
- Under Saved Networks, select the relevant SSID or network name
- From the SSID screen, select View More and scroll down to locate MAC Address Type. The default MAC Address setting will be Randomized.
- Select MAC Address Type to open a menu. Select Phone MAC. The Phone MAC refers to the MAC Address of the WiFi Internal Radio embedded in the controller. It is an internal component and does not refer to a separate mobile device or cellular phone.
- The Phone MAC address will now appear under MAC Address (see image below). This MAC Address can be used to allowlist the Controller under your organization’s SSID or network name.
