Viewing Multiple Cockpits in Remote Flight Deck

[note]This feature is only enabled for organizations without a waiver to fly multiple drones.[/note]

Remote pilots can now view and monitor multiple cockpits simultaneously within RFD, enabling real-time situational awareness during operations involving multiple drones. Pilots can only actively pilot one drone at a time, and must land the currently piloted drone before commandeering a different drone.

See It In Action:

Subject Tracking ON By Default

Subject Tracking now defaults to ON the first time a pilot logs in to Skydio Clouad.

  • Remote pilots can enable/disable this feature on a per flight basis.
  • The default setting for subsequent flights is the last used preference (for example, if the pilot toggles OFF Subject Tracking for one flight, it will remain off in subsequent flights).

Customize Gamepad Controller

Remote pilots can now remap buttons on their gamepads in Remote Flight Deck. This allows pilots to change gamepad buttons to suit their preferences.

  • There are no changes to current gamepad control. Users can still select a single existing flying mode (Mode 1, 2, 3, or Game)
  • Customization is saved per user per active device, and persists between sessions.
  • This feature is compatible with all supported gamepad controllers.

See It In Action:

Flight Path Breadcrumbs

Remote Flight Deck now renders a real-time trail of the drone's path on the map as an optional map layer. Pilots can enable/disable Flight Path Breadcrumbs on and off in Map Layer Settings.

Post-Flight Reports Permissions

Skydio Cloud administrators can now control whether pilots can edit submitted post-flight reports. This provides organizations with more flexibility over data integrity and workplace policies.

User Detail Page Improvements

The following improvements have been made to allow admins and users to see and act on pilot information quickly:

View Groups and Distribution Lists in User Details

Skydio Cloud administrators can now view the groups and distribution lists a user belongs to on the user’s detail page. This saves administrators time by allowing them to view this information in one place.

User Profile Pilot View

Remote pilots can now view their own user profile in Remote Flight deck, including certifications, flight hours, and recent activity. This reduces additional work for admins, and improves pilots' self-sufficiency.
