Skydio Cloud Cloud Release 19

Cloud Release 19 adds greater airspace awareness in Remote Flight Deck, control over how long markers stay visible, a maintenance history for every device in the fleet, as well as new ways for administrators to keep fleet records complete.

Temporary Flight Restrictions Map Layer

Remote pilots can now see active Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) as a map layer in Remote Flight Deck, making it easier to recognize when an Operation is near or inside restricted airspace and to adjust plans before launching.

  • Turn the layer on and off under Map Layers (default: ON).
  • Hover over a restriction to show its summary. Select a restriction to view its TFR identifier, restriction type, effective times, and description, along with its altitude ceiling and a link to the FAA website where available.
  • TFRs display on both the 2D and 3D map, alongside existing airspace layers, geofences, and custom map layers.
  • If TFR data cannot be retrieved, the Map Layers panel displays an error.

[note]The TFR map layer is for situational awareness only. It does not prevent or alter drone behavior or settings. The FAA remains the authoritative source for Temporary Flight Restrictions. TFR data is available in the United States only.[/note]

Get Started

In Remote Flight Deck, open Map Layers and confirm Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) is enabled. Select any restriction on the map to view its details.

Marker Visibility Settings

Organization administrators can now control how long each type of marker stays visible in Remote Flight Deck. Previously, every marker was visible for one hour. Now, administrators can set a different time range for each marker type, so markers such as incidents or detections can stay on the map longer or clear sooner to fit an agency's workflow.

  • Set a Time Range for each marker type, from 5 minutes to 30 days (default: 1 hour).
  • Markers outside the time range are hidden from the Remote Flight Deck marker list and map. Hiding a marker does not dismiss or resolve it.
  • Changes save automatically. Select Reset to Default to return every marker type to 1 hour.

[note]

  • Nothing changes until an administrator changes a time range. Markers continue to display for 1 hour by default.
  • These settings do not apply to the controller app.
  • The Remote Flight Deck map shows up to 2,000 markers, newest first. If more markers fall within the time range, older markers are left off the map and a warning appears.

Get Started

In Skydio Cloud, go to Settings > Marker Visibility and set the Time Range for each marker type you want to change.

Maintenance History

Organization administrators can now record the maintenance their organization performs on each device in Skydio Cloud. Maintenance History brings inspections, repairs, part replacements, and software updates for drones, docks, controllers, and other devices together in one place, so administrators can see what work was done on each device, when, and by whom.

  • Log maintenance with a maintenance type, a task, a description, the date and time the work was performed, and who performed it.
  • Review the history for the whole fleet, or for one device from its Maintenance tab.
  • Filter by date, maintenance type, device, and site, and export the results as a CSV file.

Battery Shim Tracking

Skydio Cloud now tracks whether each X10 has the battery shim installed. The shim is the hardware fix for battery connector wear described in the Battery Connector Wear NTO. Drones that shipped on or after June 1, 2026 are recognized automatically.

  • Other X10 drones show a Battery Shim Status Unknown warning and a Limited Operation health status until the shim is recorded.
  • To clear the warning, open the drone's Overview page and select Mark Installed next to Battery Shim. This adds a Battery Shim Install record to the drone's maintenance history.
  • Drones with a factory-installed shim may still show the warning. Mark them installed the same way.
Note: Drones shipped from the regular line May 14 to 31 have a factory shim but may still show the alert.

Get Started

In Skydio Cloud, go to Reports > Maintenance and select the History tab, then select Log maintenance to add a record. To record a battery shim, go to Settings > Devices > Drones, select the drone, and select Mark Installed.

Additional Improvements

The following are additional improvements introduced in Cloud Release 19.

  • Organization administrators can now record an FAA Registration Number for each drone. The number appears on the drone's Overview tab, can be added as a column in the device list, and is included in CSV exports, making it easier to spot drones that are missing registration records.
  • Skydio Cloud now displays drone-detection markers from integrated counter-UAS systems, shown in Remote Flight Deck as UAS Detection markers.
  • Raised the battery voltage imbalance thresholds for Gen 2 batteries to reduce unnecessary warnings and premature landings.
