Cloud Release 18 introduces a unified place to review flights, along with new ways to build public trust and train pilots. It also gives organization administrators more control over security and sharing, and improves how dates, times, and filters in Skydio Cloud behave.
Highlights
Unified Flight Details Page
Skydio Cloud users can now review flight details in one place from the redesigned Flight Details page.
Overview shows flight metadata, duration, distance, vehicle, pilot, and the flight path on a map.
Review plays back the trajectory with a synchronized telemetry timeline.
Media shows all photos and videos captured during the flight.
Flight records now remain accessible after a drone is returned, transferred to another organization, or removed from the fleet, so organizations can still produce a complete flight history for compliance reporting.
Get Started
Go to Reports > Flights and select a flight to open its details. Use the filters on the flight list to narrow by date range, vehicle, pilot, mission type, or flight status.
Redesigned Transparency Dashboard
The Transparency Dashboard now has a redesigned user experience. Agencies that publish a public Transparency Dashboard now get a faster, cleaner, and easier to read experience, built by Skydio.
The redesigned dashboard carries the same core transparency information, including flights, the map, key statistics, and recent activity.
Agencies do not need to perform any additional setup to use the redesigned dashboard.
Session Management for Organizations
Organization administrators can now enforce stricter sign-in session policies for their organization directly in Skydio Cloud.
Session Length sets a maximum session length for the organization.
Concurrent Session Limit sets how many sessions a single user can have at once.
Organizations use the Skydio default when no custom settings are configured.
[note]Shortening the session length below the age of sessions already in progress signs those users out the next time their session refreshes.[/note]
Get Started
Go to Settings > Security > Session Management and set Session Length or Concurrent Session Limit. Both settings apply to the whole organization.
Redesigned Live Streaming Page
The Live Streaming page now allows organization administrators to view all ReadyLinks in a table. Admins can now see the status for all links at a glance without the need to open them.
Each ReadyLink displays its name, status, availability, access type, and the drones or operation it is associated with.
Admins can see which links are Now Streaming, Ready to Stream, or Expired.
Access is labeled Public or PIN Protected.
Availability shows when a link starts and when it expires, including links set to expire when their operation closes.
Administrators can search ReadyLinks by name and filter by status and access type.
Get Started
Go to Settings > Live Streaming and open the ReadyLinks tab. Use the search box and the status and access filters to narrow the list, or select Generate ReadyLink to create a new one.
Light and Dark Mode
Skydio Cloud users can now choose to view the interface in Light, Dark, or System mode.
System mode matches the device's appearance setting and changes with it.
The preference is saved to the user account, so it applies on any browser or device that user signs in from.
[note]Remote Flight Deck and live video always use the dark appearance, regardless of this setting.[/note]
Get Started
Go to Profile > Preferences and select Light, Dark, or System.
Paraverse Training Scenarios
Paraverse now includes guided training scenarios, so pilots can practice the kinds of calls they actually face in simulation before they need to fly them in the field. Each scenario moves through staged objectives with its own success and failure conditions, letting pilots build confidence and practice mission decision making without a live incident or a physical training setup.
Scenarios are grouped by difficulty, starting with a tutorial:
Scenario 101 (Tutorial) - an introduction to how Paraverse training scenarios work.
Basic - Missing Child Search, Stolen Car Chase, Warrant Service Overwatch, Security Operations
Intermediate - Active Shooter
Each training scenario is automatically associated with a new Site.
Scenarios require a Paraverse organization, and users must be onboarded to Paraverse before they can launch one.
Scenarios are intended for training and demonstration. They are not a certification on their own and do not replace instructor led training.
Get Started
Navigate to Fleet > Create Paraverse > Training Scenarios.
Enter a Paraverse Name.
Select a Training Scenario.
Review the scenario options, including the vehicle type, the software version, and whether to enable flight logging for the scenario.
Select Create.
Additional Improvements
The following are additional improvements introduced in Cloud Release 18.
Organization admins can now set their local timezone so that flight records, reports, charts, exports, and alert timestamps all reflect local time instead of UTC.
Filters now behave the same way from one page to the next, so the same selection returns the same results wherever it is applied.
Skydio Cloud now warns administrators when a site network appears to be blocking the connection Skydio Cloud uses for real time operations. When a device is still reaching Skydio Cloud over HTTPS but its QUIC connection has been offline for several minutes, the device Overview shows a network health warning titled Site Network May Be Blocking QUIC.
