Live stream video feed from your Skydio drone to viewers logged into Skydio Cloud on a web or mobile browser. You must set up your Skydio Cloud account, add users and pilots, and claim your Skydio vehicles to use the Live Stream feature.

Supported drones:

    • Skydio 2/2+
    • Skydio X2

Supported Controlling Devices:

Skydio Enterprise Controller - version 19.0.42 or higher on a 2.4 GHz wireless network

Skydio Controller - Android: version 19.0.42 or higher on cellular data/LTE or 2.4 GHz wireless network. iOS: version 19.0.0(38) or higher on cellular data/LTE or 2.4 GHz wireless network

Mobile Device - Android or iOS on cellular data/LTE

Quick Steps

Step 1 - Log in to

  • enter your email address
  • enter the verification code sent to your email address

Step 2 - Set up your Skydio Cloud account visit Getting Started with Skydio Cloud for detailed instructions.

    • ensure that you have added Users and Pilots
    • ensure that you have claimed your Skydio vehicle that will live stream
To enable the Live Streaming feature ensure that Data Capture is toggled on:

Step 1 - Select Settings

Step 2 - Scroll down to Data Capture

Step 3 - Toggle GPS & Telemetry ON


Initiate a Live Stream from your drone's controlling device:

Step 3 - Power on your controlling device and connect to your drone

Step 4 - Ensure that your controlling device is connected to the Internet 

Step 5 - Select the video/camera icon

Step 6 - Select the Streaming tab


Step 7 - Select Start Streaming

    • start the live stream before or during a flight
    • to live stream a 3D Scan, start the live stream from the controlling device before you launch your drone.

Step 8 - Log in to on a web or mobile browser

    • vehicles in your organization with active live streams will display a LIVE badge

Step 9 - Select a vehicle/stream to view

    • the live stream feed supports color and thermal video

Adaptive Bitrate higher resolution video:

    • Up to 720p resolution video with a strong network signal connection (> 5 Mbps), the previous max quality was ~360p equivalent
    • The live video stream video will now adaptively adjust based on the quality of the network signal connection.
    • There will be fewer signal connection losses and faster reconnection when the signal connection is lost.

Share a Live Stream Link

Generate a Live Stream video feed link to share with people outside of your organization.

    • Viewable from mobile or desktop devices
    • Set an expiration date and time, and revoke the link at any time 
    • Organizations that are enabled for multi-viewer streaming allow multiple users to use the same link
Step 1 - From your Fleet Dashboard, select Share Live Stream
Step 2 - Edit the link duration or revoke the link.

Skydio X2E Color/Thermal can share thermal and color Live Streams. Viewers using a web browser can utilize the Picture in picture (PIP) view to switch between the two streams. The type of thermal view available depends on the pilot’s settings:

    • White Hot
    • Black Hot 
    • Rainbow 
    • Ironbow
