Although Skydio 2/2+ has a maximum operational altitude of 4572 m (15,000 ft)  above sea level, the Height Ceiling has been optimized to track a subject accurately for that perfect shot.

Control Option Maximum Height Maximum Distance
Skydio app 16 m (54 ft) 20 m (66 ft)
Skydio Controller 16 m (54 ft) 20 m (66 ft)
Beacon* 33 m (108 ft) 40 m (130 ft)

*A strong GPS signal is required to track beyond 20 m (66 ft) with Beacon. If GPS quality is insufficient, the maximum tracking range on the beacon will be capped at 20 m (66 ft) in order to maintain a visual lock.
